Arcade Fire’s Win Butler has been accused of sexual misconduct by four people.
The 42-year-old singer is said to have behaved inappropriately between 2015 and 2020, when he was between the ages of 34 and 39, and the victim was between the ages of 18 and 23. He claims that the meeting was consensual.

“I have had consensual relationships outside of marriage.
“There is no easy way to say this. The hardest thing I have ever done is having to share this with my son. My wife knows our marriage has been more unconventional than most in the past. Most importantly, all of these interactions were mutual and always between consenting adults. It would be wrong to suggest otherwise.
“I have never touched a woman against her will. Any suggestions I have are completely false. I vehemently deny any suggestion that it simply and unequivocally never happened. All of these relationships were consensual and I am truly sorry to anyone I may have hurt with my actions. Life is full of tremendous pain and misfortune, and I don’t want to be a part of causing pain to others.”
The singer went on to detail the struggles in his personal life, but insisted he made no excuses.

Butler went on to apologize.

The “Ready to Start” singer has the support of his wife, who is “convinced” that he has done nothing that the accusers have not agreed to.
In a statement, Regine said: He has been my life and musical partner for his 20 years. And for all the love in our lives, I have seen him suffer immeasurable pain.
“I’ve stood by him because I know he’s a good man who cares about the world, our band, his fans, his friends and our family.Win I’ve known this since we were just normal, before we were “famous.”
