Unilock announces Paving the Future Scholarship. This scholarship, which awards $ 5,000 to students in the fields of landscape construction and landscape architecture research, will help pay for education such as tuition, books, housing and transportation. Up to 27 scholarships will be awarded and a deadline for qualified students will be granted on August 31, 2022.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the companyth Anniversary since its founding by Ed Bryant, the Unilock Pavement Future Scholarship demonstrates Unilock’s commitment to invest in a new generation of landscape design, architecture and construction leaders. To qualify, students must be in their final year of research, actively involved in the community, and show their ambition to become the ideological leader of tomorrow’s landscaping industry.
“In 1972, Ed brought Unistone paving stones to North America, not only building Unilock, but also demonstrating the path of passion, collaboration and innovation that ultimately pioneered the hardscape industry,” said Unilock’s marketing director. Vice President Diane Williams said. “For 50 years, we have been moving forward and growing our business with a focus on quality, a legacy of innovation and investment efforts. Investing in our community through contributions like Unilock Paving the Future Scholarship. By continuing Ed’s vision of doing, we are working with experts today and tomorrow to help build and shape the hardscape industry. “
Applications will be accepted from May 1st to August 31st, 2022, including essays explaining why applicants are passionate about landscaping and their careers and their willingness to contribute significantly to the industry as a whole. Applicants have access to the application form. Landscape construction or landscape architecture online. Scholarship recipients will be notified around October 10, 2022.
Scholarship eligibility and evaluation
To qualify, the applicant must do the following:
- Being a permanent resident of Ontario, USA or Canada
- Enroll in the final year of a full-time, post-higher education undergraduate or graduate program within a landscape construction or landscape architecture study area
- Show academic excellence, maintain B’s lowest cumulative average grades, and show a desire to pursue a career in their field of study.
- Demonstrate ongoing leadership and community commitment
